Description

The ability of elephants to see so much with such small eyes has always intrigued me. In this work I have focused on a single eye amid a sea of rough patterned patches of earthy colors. It reminds me of a small waterhole viewed from above the cracked mud of a dried-up lakebed. The eyelashes on an elephant hang over the pupil, protecting it from dust and dirt.
