It may look like some alien arterial or neural network, but this work is of a scene available by drone or aircraft over a river delta, where a myriad of channels braid their way toward the sea in the flattened landscape. I have seen such views while flying over Alaskan river valleys and collected data on them from ground level in other wild regions. They always reminded me of nature's tendency to paint intricate and beautiful patterns on the landscapes of the world.
